Training Programme on Business Planing and Accounting Training programme on business planning, accounting, budgeting and SWOT analysis for General Managers and Manager F & A of 3 units of Federation was organized by the Federation Head Office at FTCI Export Unit, Delhi from 25th October 2010 to 27th October 2010. The trainer for the SWOT analysis and business planning was Mr Vipul Kumar, MIET IENG, Consultant for FTFI. Mr Tenzin Dakpa, Chief Accountant of Federation took a session on accounting and budgeting. Mr Pema Delek, Chairman of Federation addressed the 10 participants on importance of the training on accounting report, budgeting and administrative issues during the opening function of the training programme.
The 6th Annual General Body Meeting and the 10th Annual Conference of 15 Tibetan Cooperative Societies at Tibetan Dickey Larsoe Settlement (TDL), Bylakuppe On September 5th, the 6th Annual General Body Meeting of the Federation was held at TDL settlement, Bylakuppe. The meeting was attended by 15 general body members i.e, Presidents of 15 Tibetan Cooperative Societies. From September 6th to 8th, the 10th Annual Conference of 15 Tibetan cooperative societies was held at TDL settlement, Bylakuppe which as jointly organized by Department of Home (DOH), Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and the Federation.
The participants for the meeting were Presidents, Secretaries, 1 Board member from each cooperative society and the Federation Administrative staffs. The Honorable Chief Guest for the opening function of the meeting was Kungoe Phuntsok Tsering, Representative of TDL settlement. The Guest of Honors was Kungoe Tsona Lhakpa, Local Justice and Kungoe Gonpo Tashi, Representative of Lugsungsamdupling settlement. Kungoe Wangyal la, Additional Secretary of DOH, CTA and Kungoe Dawa Tsultrim la, Deputy Secretary of Cooperative Division, DOH, CTA were present in the meeting. The 3 days meeting was chaired jointly by Kungoe Wangyal la and Mr. Pema Delek, Chairman of the Federation.
Cooperative Management Training to General Staffs of Tibetan Cooperative Societies: Cooperative Management Training to General Staffs of Tibetan Cooperative Societies was jointly organized by TPPRC, DOH, CTA and FTCI at TDL settlement, Bylakuppe for 3 days starting from 17th to 19th June 2010. The session on cooperative movement, cooperative principles, cooperative values, election, disqualification, resignation, removal of BoDs and chairman and manner of voting were covered.
Training on topic such as leadership, team building, cooperative act, rules & byelaws and subsidies & grants available from the state government, budget preparation and review were also taken. The sessions were taken by Kungoe Ngodup Dorjee, Secretary of DOH, CTA Dharamsala and Kungoe Jigmey Jhungney, former Secretary of Department of Audit, CTA Dharamsala. 3 faculties from Regional Institute of Cooperative Management, Bangalore also took some of the sessions.
Training-cum-Workshop on “Creation and Management of Cooperative Enterprises or Business Ventures” Training-cum-Workshop on “Creation and Management of Cooperative Enterprises or Business Ventures” was jointly organized by Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration, Dharamsala and Federation of Tibetan Cooperatives in India Ltd (Federation), Bangalore at Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Gujarat from 19th – 23th April 2010. Secretaries and accountants of 15 Tibetan cooperatives and 2 staffs of the Federation participated in this workshop cum training programme. Seasons on Product and Market Orientation, Value Addition through Quality Management, Customer Segments, Targeting & Value Proposition, Consumer Behaviour & Customer Relationship, Design of Collective Enterprises for Sustainable Livelihoods, Cost and Management Accounting, Working Capital Management, Lessons for Cooperative Diary Enterprises in Gujarat and other were taken from the lecturers of IRMA. Visit to AMUL Diary & DCS were arranged simultaneously during the training days. A session on “Project Management” and project presentation on “Tibet Knit” were taken by Dr Kunchok Tsundue, Chairman, Planning Commission, CTA.
